Inglot--Lipsticks

I purchased two lipsticks from Inglot (I would have purchased more, but the display can be SO overwhelming).  These both have a very smooth, almost slick texture.  At only $12, I think the quality of these lipsticks is very much on par (if not above) with the others in the mid-high range.

You'll Bat an Eye (Lashes!!!)

I've added a new set of lashes to the "Lash Vault."  I have to say…Mink Lashes might be my new thing!  I'm also SUPER in love with this site called Madamemadeline.com.  It has a TON of lashes and the shipping is EXTREMELY fast!  (and did I mention the COST IS EXTRA LOW?…AND it comes with freebies?!)

Inglot AMC Lipgloss

No, "AMC" doesn't stand for "All My Children," it stands for "Advance Makeup Components." And there's definitely something advanced about these glosses.  I almost didn't want to put them on here because the pictures just don't do them justice!  They have this amazing iridescent, holographic effect that's just hard to describe.  They look different in every light and the effect changes based on how you layer it over lipstick or on your bare lips.  I've tried to capture the effect in pictures, but just TRUST that if you order these, you'll love them.  I bought two while on my NY trip, and I've already ordered another one (#541).

By the way, these are very slick, almost slippery on the lips (they feel slightly slicker than MAC's Cremesheen glosses).  I love the fact that they actually have GREAT staying power despite not being the slightest bit sticky!  Each gloss costs $16:

*Two notes about these pics: 1) the holographic effect just can't be seen in the pics, but it is THERE! 2) Please excuse my skin's oily, crunchy appearance! LOL, I've been trying out this tinted moisturizer by Bobbi Brown and it is NOOOOOT working out!

Swatches and other views after the break…

Inglot Nail Polishes

I love these!  I need more polish like I need a hole in my head…and I don't need a hole in my head!  But while I was under the spell of the vast Inglot nail polish display, I allowed myself to be sucked into buying one…okay, FOUR!  But at least they're all gorgeous!  The formula is the perfect balance of thick and runny…not so runny that it's watery, but not so thick that it's "clumpy."

Like I've said before, I'm not to good with typing out a whole lotta words on these posts, so feel free to ask any questions you may have!:)

Inglot's "Nail Enamel" goes for $10 each:

(as for my cuticles and rush paint job…don't judge me, LOL)

Inglot Haul

"I HAVE LOST MY DARN MIND!"  Seriously, that's what I was thinking when I visited the Inglot store in NYC and looked at the total on the receipt: $275!!!  I will be making a series of posts with swatches and info on my purchases.  As you all know, I don't like to be too long-winded in my posts, so feel free to ask questions if you have any:)

False Lash Database-New!

Now that I'm starting to get the hang of actually applying these tricky accessories, I've been combing the Internet for more and more variations of false lashes.  I've been buying different brands and different styles left and right!  I will admit that I haven't been using them as frequently as I should, but I'm trying to get better about that!

One thing I noticed as I searched the Web for lashes is that sometimes it felt like shooting an arrow in the dark: I had no idea of what I was aiming for!  Most pictures just show the lashes attached to the plastic container, not what they actually LOOK like on human eyes!  That's when I got the idea to start keeping track myself!

I've actually added a tab on my blog to keep track of false lashes so I can know what look I want to go for, as well as share that info with someone else who might be looking for False Lash pictures! (Don't get too excited, though; I JUST started the page, so there's only one on there;))

Aww, How Precious! (MAC's Semi-Precious collection)

I have FINALLY found time to swatch the items I picked from MAC's most recent collection.  Initially, I had only planned to pick up the lipstick "Gem of Roses," but when I swatched some of the other products, I fell in love with a couple of them.

I bought 3 of the mineralized eyeshadows; the cool thing about these is that the marbled pattern on each shadow is different, so no two are the same!  At $20 each, these are on the more expensive side, but you get SO much more product.  Because of the price tag, though, I limited myself to only the shades I found NO dupe for. (BTW, as far as dupes go, a lot of people missed out on the sold out Golden Gaze color, but if you have the Armani Eyes to Kill Intense in #15, you're not missing anything;) )

I bought:
Clarity (light pink, off-white, green, gold, and black)
Blue Sheen (navy, black, and peach)
Dark Indulgence (forest green and black)

As far as lipsticks go, I HAD to get the gorgeous Gem of Roses (mid-tone strawberry pink)! ($14.50)

I bought two Cremesheen lipglasses  (I LOOOOOOVE the creamy smoothness of that formula): Geo Pink (strawberry pink) and Looks Like Sin (midtone reddish plum). ($18.50 each)

Last, but not least, I got a Mineralized blush in Feeling Flush (a marble of pink, deep blue, and soft brown) ($23) and the #235 Split Fibre All Over Eye Brush ($30).

**The following products from above are sold out online, so if you're interested in them, you may want to grab them at your nearest MAC location ASAP! : Feeling Flush, Gem of Roses, and Dark Indulgence.**

Buxom "Stay There" Eyeshadows--LE 4 Piece Collection

A while back, I reviewed Buxom's "Stay There" Eyeshadows.  On a recent trip to Sephora, I saw that they had come up with a Limited Edition 4-Piece set.  I was kinda mad because these aren't being sold separately and the set includes "Mutt" (which I already have) but I couldn't resist the pink and blue colors!

The colors are:
*Whippet (ice gold)
Mutt (bronze taupe)
*Pekingese (sparkling ocean)--this color REALLY does sparkle!
*Terrier (blushing violet)--this seems very similar to MAC's Star Violet, but this color has a nicer, frosty/sparkly sheen to it and leans more to a lavender color.
*=Limited Edition

The price was pretty great-$42 ($68 value) so if you're interested in at least three of the colors, I would recommend getting them since the original colors are $17 each.  (Remember, these LE colors aren't available individually!) They also come in a cute black case that you could use to hold about 8 shadows if you remove the insert!

L to R: Pekingese, Mutt, Whippet, Terrier

After the break, see the swatches I did on the permanent colors:)

Pretty Girls ROCK!

As this blog highlights all things "pretty," I couldn't help but mention two pretty ladies with great music out today!
In this CD cover image released by Columbia Records, the latest release by Beyonce, "4," is shown. (AP Photo/Columbia Records)
Beyoncé's album is on FIRE! I have had the fortune to meet her, as well as speak at a function she and her hubby attended. She IS that gorgeous in person!

Alicia Keys Releases 14-Year-Old Track “Typewriter” [NEW MUSIC]
Alicia is my girl! I had the great opportunity to travel to South Africa with her last year and get to know how truly amazing she is! She is releasing an extended, special edition of her first album to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of her first album!

I was like, "Why Are You So Obsessed With Me?" (MAC "Bloggers Obsessions")

**CORRECTION** I had previously mixed the two names of the lip glosses I purchased (now corrected).  Thanks to the beautiful, talented blogger, Aileen de Los Angeles -Theshadesofu- for pointing out my mistake!:) FYI: Aileen is the mastermind behind the goooorgeous Sonoran Rain gloss;)

I am over it now.  I'll admit that before I was a tad jealous of the lucky bloggers who were able to visit the MAC Cosmetics laboratories AND create their own eyeshadows/lip glosses;).   Now that I've tried some of their creations and seen firsthand how BEAUTIFUL they are, all is forgiven!:) LOL

The limited edition eyeshadows/glosses are available online for $14.50 each.  I purchased:

Jealousy Wakes eyeshadow (a "teal-jade" color with a nice balance of pigment and sparkle; unfortunately for some, this is now sold out:( )

Nitro:licious 2046  lip gloss (a creamy, yet slightly translucent red...although the name is a bit awkward, the color is beautiful!)

Sonoran Rain lip gloss (this color reminds me of the pinkish-red part of a peach, with lots of gold flecks)

Swatches after the break...

GIORGIO Armani Eyes to Kill Intense…NEW COLORS SWATCHES!

I couldn't WAIT to get home from a week-long business trip to have at my latest purchases: Giorgio Armani's Eyes to Kill Intense shadows in #1-Blast of Blue and #3-Purpura! I have like a dozen of the other colors (which I've reviewed here).  The formula and staying power of these newest additions to the line don't deviate from the high quality I've come to expect!

SO, here's the thing, though: the colors are NOTHING like one would expect based on looking in the jar!  I would definitely say the gold tones of each shadow take prominence in the pigmentation.  Fortunately, though, the result you DO get is SOOOOOOO doggone amazing!

Surfin' (MAC's "Surf, Baby" Haul)

MAC Surf, Baby Haul
Here are the swatches from my haul of the Surf, Baby collection.  After the let-down of the Big Bounce shadows, this collection was a welcome one, as I was actually able to find things I like!  The shadows are very pigmented and I was able to find two lip colors that are unlike anything in my stash.  So, let's get to it!

Saffron
Sun Blonde (I thought this was going to be like Goldenrod, but it is VERY different)
Surf USA (it's much deeper and bluer than pictured)

GIORGIO Armani Eyes to Kill Intense…NEW COLORS AVAILABLE NOW!

(UPDATE:  I've learned that, although they won't be releasing these in stores until July, they are available NOW on the Giorgio Armani website: Click Here -I've just placed my order today and will upload swatches once I get them:) )

As you know, I've fallen completely in love with the Armani Eyes to Kill Intense shadows (previously reviewed here).  Imagine my delight when I came across a picture of two colors I had never seen yet...
#1 Blast of Blue

#3 Purpura

…Then imagine my dismay when I learned that they weren't available in the states yet.  I checked with Armani and this is the response I got:
"May 2, 2011
Thank you for visiting Giorgio Armani Beauty on the Web.

So…unfortunately we have to wait 'til July!   THESE ARE AVAILABLE NOW ON THE GA WEBSITE HERE.

More Lines! (Stila's "Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner")

So, I've been getting into liners later, and any pretty colors (plus good quality) will catch my eye.  I decided to try Stila's new "Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eye" eyeliners.  One thing I do like about these is the intense sparkle effect; they definitely pack a lot of punch!  Also, the applicator offers good application control AND they are waterproof! (Because these are so glitter-heavy, I would suggest tapping the line across your lid, near the lash-line, as opposed to dragging it across.)

*vs. MUFE's new Aqua Liners: Since these came out around the same time as the MUFE liners, I figured I might compare the quality of the two.  (Price-wise, these are $1 cheaper: $22 at Sephora).  There are only 8 colors (compared to MUFE's 15 Aqua Liners).  Although these are very beautifully pigmented, I did have to do two layers to REALLY get a strong effect.  They also don't last as long as the MUFE liners (perhaps because they are a bit more sparkly and, therefore, are more subject to crumbling).  I MUST SAY, though, that they don't last as LONG as MUFE's but they do last all day! (When put to my "sleep with it on my hand test" the Stila liners failed where the MUFE's didn't…but how many people REALLY need to sleep with eyeliner on?

After buying about 5 of the MUFE liners, I only found one Stila that was different enough to purchase: Curacao (sparkling Violet blue)

Left: Thick/Thin line-one coat;
Right: Thick/Thin line-two coats

The Bottom "Line" (Make Up For Ever Aqua Liners)

Make Up For Ever's "Aqua Liners" might just be the best liners I've found!  I'm one of those unfortunate souls who struggles with liquid liners.  I always get my right eye perfect, then I go to the left eye and make it too thick…so then I go BACK to the right eye to try to match the left one…and it's all downhill from there! LOL.  But in any case, the perfect combination of control and "forgiveness" in these applicators make MUFE's Aqua Liners wonderful.

l to r: 6, 8, 5, 15, 13 (I swatched both thick and
thin lines to show the applicator's versatility)

At $23 at Sephora, these are a bit expensive but, given their quality, they may prove to be worth it (it depends on just how long the tube lasts.

On top of the applicator magic, these. things. don't. BUDGE!  Seriously, I slept 9 hours with the swatches on my hand and THIS is the result:
After 9 hours of sleeping! (Only the black one is slightly rubbing off)
There are a total of 15 colors available, I think I'm going to pick up the green one:)
